Preheat oven to 400°F and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Brown ground beef and diced onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat for 6-8 minutes, breaking up meat as it cooks.

Drain fat and stir in cream of mushroom soup, ketchup, mustard, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Spread beef mixture in prepared baking dish and top with 1 cup shredded cheese.
